I lived in one of the few apartments in Carmel. Sure it is a beautiful artistic town. Foggy and cold. I couldn't get my cable TV hooked up. You know when there are no numbers on your address it's hard to get someone to come to your house. I live on the corner by the tree. No mail service and being of the lower income class making friends with millionaires is difficult they want you to either mow their lawn or clean their toilets. But Big Sur was close and could be in the wilderness in an hour and half.

Carmel is a very elderly-oriented town. The elders are rude and stuck in their ways and there is not much to do for teens in Carmel besides go to the beach and play around down town. Carmel is such a friendly, safe town where I feel safe at all times of the day. It is expensive to live in.

Carmel is a small coastal town that is centered around the life of old people. Very charming, but in some senses could use some more "hip" restaurants and stores to appeal to the younger generation.

Carmel is beautiful and quaint. The restaurants are upscale and delicious and the shops downtown sell unique items and clothing.
