Why Enderly Park is on an upswing
Enderly Park is a neighborhood to watch. New modern homes, some over $1 million, are popping up alongside renovated 20th-century styles in this long-established community roughly 10 minutes from Uptown. Buyers are increasingly drawn to its convenience; you can get a bite to eat, meet friends for pickleball, grocery shop and hop right onto Interstate 85, all without ever leaving the neighborhood. Plus, families can choose from a diverse selection of public schools with magnet programs. Add in a classic neighborhood feel with wide streets and mature trees, and it’s easy to see why this West Charlotte enclave might be the next to hit its stride.

Renovated older homes mix with brand-new modern styles
Most homes in Enderly Park are renter-occupied, and many were built between the 1940s and 1950s in typical styles of the era. These bungalows, Cape Cods and ranch-style homes often sport fresh renovations and rest on tree-shaded lots of around a quarter of an acre. Meanwhile, new construction is a booming trend. “It’s up and coming. They have a lot of nice new houses,” says Leslie Dale, a Realtor with Keller Williams Connected. Modern designs and Craftsman-inspired builds are attracting buyers with bigger budgets. There are also condo and townhouse communities with HOAs. “Revitalization activity is positive and welcomed by the community’s long-time residents. And, by and large, a lot of the area’s original character is being maintained,” says Patty Rainey, a Realtor with Corcoran HM Properties.
While there are many historic homes, newer builds in Enderly Park are slowly being added.

You’ll find higher home prices here than in nearby neighborhoods
The median sale price here is around $540,000, above Charlotte ’s median and significantly higher than that of surrounding neighborhoods, such as Lakeview, Thomasboro-Hoskins and Ashley Park. “If you want to be somewhere that’s a little more affordable, and that’s transitioning and has some potential upsides, that’s a good place to be,” says John Siddons, a Realtor with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Carolinas Realty. Here’s how home prices break down by type:
Most detached homes range from the lower $200,000s to the upper $500,000s.
Modern new construction starts in the mid-$600,000s and can exceed $1 million.
Townhouses range from the mid-$200,000s to the lower $600,000s.
Condos rarely hit the market, with only two units sold in recent years in the upper $100,000s.
Drive, bike or ride the bus to Uptown
Dale notes that “highway access and proximity to Uptown” are Enderly Park’s biggest draws. It’s about 3 miles from the Center City, and you can hop onto Interstate 85 directly from the neighborhood. For car-free commutes, there are CATS bus stops dotting Tuckaseegee Road, which is lined with bike lanes and connects to greenways that head straight into Uptown. While you’ll prefer to have a car here, the neighborhood offers some walkability, receiving a Walk Score of 50 out of 100.

You don’t have to go far for a bite to eat. This area has a buzzing dining scene centered along Tuckaseegee and Thrift roads. Neighbors mingle at Enderly Coffee Company, while LuLu’s Express is a standby for counter-service comfort food ranging from fried chicken to crab cakes and Marquee is a trendy spot for tapas and cocktails. Noble Smoke, heralded as one of the best barbecue joints in the city, is on the edge of the neighborhood. When it’s time to stock the kitchen, Aldi and Compare Foods Supermarket are close by for grocery runs.

There’s also the Bette Rae Thomas Recreation Center, where parents can sign their kids up for summer camp and youth sports leagues.
