The largest employers represent a wide variety of industries including telecom, aerospace, financial services, retail, biomedical and medical, computer software and hardware development, transportation, and government. Colorado has a high concentration of high-tech workers, and many of them work for small and medium-sized firms. In fact, Denver has been one of the "Top 10 Cities for Small Business" every year since 2001.
