Quiet residential area minutes from University of Oregon
The desirable neighborhood of South University offers residents easy access to the University of Oregon’s historic enclaves. The prestigious college has been the anchor of the Eugene community since 1872. Living close to the school makes it an excellent home-buying location for staff, faculty or alums who want to be close to Ducks games. Those with younger students have access to schools that are just as good. "The area is part of the 4J School District, which is highly rated and sought after by families," says Realtor and fifth-generation Oregonian Alice Holmes with Windermere Real Estate. There are comfortable midcentury homes, new construction and opportunities to buy student housing here. The neighborhood is also close to outdoor amenities and downtown entertainment, making it a community with much to offer.
