Nottingham is in proximity to several parks and trails, leading residents to explore High Point’s scenic backyard. The neighborhood is home to the popular Gibson Park, stretching over 200 acres. The park is a local favorite for community gatherings and outdoor fun. The area features baseball and soccer fields as well as several picnic shelters. Residents also have access to the Bicentennial Greenway and additional trails. The Bicentennial Greenway connects High Point with Greensboro, extending over 14 miles. The trail is a favorite for bikers but also welcomes foot travelers to explore its shaded path. Aside from the Greenway, Nottingham has several other trails to explore. Flint Lock Trail and the Twin Pond Trail are accessible from Gibson Park. Others include the Deep River Trail, which follows the river toward High Point Lake. Continuing the outdoor fun, locals head to Jamestown Park. The park has a large golf course, baseball fields and a basketball court. For volleyball lovers, a sand court is available.
