A walkable neighborhood between Tanoan communities and Sandia Mountains
Homes in Antelope Run sit between the gated Tanoan communities and the neighborhood Albertsons. “It’s walking distance to grocery shopping and Starbucks. It’s also walking distance to the area biking and hiking trails,” says Joe Szklarz, a broker with Q Realty® who has over 30 years of real estate experience. Just east of Antelope Run, trails carve through the foothills of the Sandia Mountains. The neighborhood earns a CAP Index crime score of 2 out of 10—which is considerably lower than the national average of 4—and it’s zoned for schools rated A-minus or better. “It’s in a desirable school district for anywhere from elementary to high school,” Szklarz says.
New traditional homes have distinct Spanish Revival features
The average home price in the neighborhood is about $200,000 higher than that across the Albuquerque metro area. “Antelope Run has a bit of a Tanoan feel to it without being in the gated community,” Szklarz says, referring to the two private Tanoan communities that surround a golf course to the west. In the southern portion of Antelope Run, residential streets lined with maturing trees that shade grassy front lawns weave from east to west. New traditional homes built during the early 1990s have distinct Spanish Revival architecture, with arched entryways flanked by tall columns, warm stucco exteriors and red-tile roofs. Most homes come with paved and shaded patios that overlook green backyards, fetching between $450,000 and $600,000.
