Homes and townhome sizes and styles in different neighborhoods
Many homes date to the 1980s or early 1990s, though the last 10 years have brought some additions. "Some were outdated, so they were knocked down and rebuilt," Aragon says. The Tanoan Community's interior neighborhoods, or subdivisions, have homes of different sizes and styles. Mediterranean-influenced elements like tile roofing are common. Some homes have Southwestern flavor, with smooth stucco walls and boxy shapes reminiscent of Pueblo-style construction. On average, the homes here are smaller than their counterparts in Tanoan East, the side some consider even more upscale. Tanoan Community neighborhoods like Cypress Point and Wimbledon West have some of the smallest homes, ranging from 1,700 square feet to about 2,700 square feet. The Masters and Fairway Estates have some of the largest: up to about 6,300 square feet and 7,100 square feet, respectively. Multicar garages are standard, and some properties have solar panels, covered patios and private in-ground pools. Over a year as of April 2025, homes were in the mid-$400,000s to $2.6 million, with factors like size, age and location affecting prices. Torrey Pines and Village Greens are among neighborhoods offering townhomes. Prices are in the $400,000s to $500,000s. Generally, homes here on the west side sell for less than those in Tanoan East.Parks and trails in this area, close to the Sandia Mountains
