Lindaraxa Park is a quiet neighborhood close to downtown Alhambra
Lindaraxa Park is a mostly residential community located just northwest of downtown Alhambra, and sandwiched between Main Street and Huntington Drive, two of the region’s main commercial corridors. Developed in the 1930s, the neighborhood retains much of its historical charm, and its proximity to Main Street and central Alhambra makes it much more walkable than many neighborhoods in the area. "It's not necessarily the most eye-catching neighborhood in east LA County, but it's easy to tell it's a nice place to live," says Alhambra native Kelly Tran, a broker with Compass Real Estate. "The houses have a bit of history to them, the green spaces are kind of woven into the community and it's easy to get to downtown."

A variety of historical home styles and a few condos along main roads
Housing in Lindaraxa Park consists mostly of single-family homes built in the 1930s and '40s. "The homes are more diverse than what you find in some other midcentury neighborhoods," says Tran. "There are ranches, bungalows, Spanish colonial homes, even a few Tudors." Lot sizes tend to be generous compared to more densely developed areas of Alhambra, creating space for small gardens or outdoor seating. Sidewalks line the streets, and most homes have driveways. Single-family homes in the neighborhood typically sell between $1 and $2 million. There are also a few townhouses in the neighborhood, which generally sell for $700,000 to $1 million.
