About 10 minutes away, Iowa State sporting events are a major source of entertainment. The football team plays other Big 12 Conference teams at Jack Trice Stadium, which holds over 60,000 fans. Musicians like Paul McCartney and The Rolling Stones have also performed at the venue. The men’s and women’s basketball teams play at Hilton Coliseum, which fills with over 14,000 fans.Commuters travel about 40 miles south to Des Moines
CyRide public buses stop regularly along Ontario Street on their way into the city. Commuters can also take Interstate 35 about 40 miles south to Des Moines, which has the nearest international airport.
