Established homes in a scenic part of Anchorage
Homebuyers in Scenic Foothills can find new traditional and ranch-style homes on suburban, tree-lined streets. Christina Barron, a Realtor with Real Broker Alaska, says buyers can get more bang for their buck here. "It's an older, more established area so you get a bigger yard and homes with more character. You get the benefit of mountain views and trails that you don't get in other areas at this price point," she says. Most homes are listed for between $350,000 and $550,000. Houses are typically three or four bedrooms and range from 1,800 to 3,000 square feet. There are a few condos in the area that typically come on the market between $200,000 and $300,000. Houses in the center of the neighborhood tend to cost less, while homes that border the wilderness on the community's edges are usually on the higher end of the price range.Natural scenery and recreation abounds in Scenic Foothills
