Angell's tree-covered cul-de-sacs and lush landscapes offer a escape from Ann Arbor's busy downtown streets. Next to the University of Michigan's main campus, the neighborhood is home to a collection of student housing towards the west end of Geddes Avenue. Quiet side streets lead to renovated single-family homes further down the street. Umich student housing and spacious single-family homes
University students live in many of the colorful Craftsman homes at the north end of Geddes Avenue. Close to Downtown Ann Arbor, these houses are less than a five-minute walk from campus and offer a more urban feel than other parts of Angell. Quiet cul-de-sac communities and tree-covered residential streets are further down Geddes Avenue. The homes here feature a variety of architectural styles. There are Queen Annes from the 1880s, Tudors from the 1920s and ranch-style homes from the 1950s. They sit on meticulously landscaped lawns bordered by giant oak trees. While most properties here are older, "a lot of them have been upgraded to feature modern appliances and interiors," says Fedie. "Listings in Angell usually start around $750,000 for a four-bedroom, but some recently renovated homes can cost closer to $1 million."
