Umich student housing and spacious single-family homes
University students live in many of the colorful Craftsman homes at the north end of Geddes Avenue. Close to Downtown Ann Arbor, these houses are less than a five-minute walk from campus and offer a more urban feel than other parts of Angell. Quiet cul-de-sac communities and tree-covered residential streets are further down Geddes Avenue. The homes here feature a variety of architectural styles. There are Queen Annes from the 1880s, Tudors from the 1920s and ranch-style homes from the 1950s. They sit on meticulously landscaped lawns bordered by giant oak trees. While most properties here are older, "a lot of them have been upgraded to feature modern appliances and interiors," says Fedie. "Listings in Angell usually start around $750,000 for a four-bedroom, but some recently renovated homes can cost closer to $1 million."Exotic gardens at The Arb
The Nichols Arboretum presents an immersive multi-cultural experience with gravel trails weaving through native landscapes and exotic botanical gardens. While the bright pink peonies and sweet-smelling lilacs attract hundreds of visitors to the 'living museum' each spring, Angell residents can enjoy 'the Arb's' panoramic views year-round. The Gallup Park Pathway trims the neighborhood's western edge, providing up-close views of the Huron River. Across from the trailhead, the Huron Hills Golf Course and Racquet Club of Ann Arbor invite locals to get some outdoor exercise and socialize with their neighbors.Abbot schools score an A-plus on Niche

Huron High is another A-plus school well-known for its music and sports programs. It also offers an International Baccalaureate program and several career and technology classes.Geddes Avenue is a convenient downtown thoroughfare
Geddes Avenue is a convenient downtown thoroughfare with fixed-route bus stops at nearly every corner. The University of Michigan's top-rated medical center is in the neighborhood. All the conveniences on Washtenaw Avenue
Washtenaw Avenue provides direct access to Downtown Ann Arbor and the popular shopping destinations just south of Angell. Trader Joe's is the neighborhood's go-to grocery store fewer than 2 miles away. Closer to home, students and local U of M fans can walk across the street to celebrate the latest Wolverine victory at the long-standing campus pubs on South University Avenue.
