Midcentury split-levels and ranch-style home abound in Diamond Path
The houses in Diamond Path were primarily built in the 1960s and ‘70s, making them a little older than others in the greater Apple Valley area. Most homes here are situated on neatly maintained side streets that end in cul-de-sacs, giving each street a cozy feel. There are both townhouses and single-family home options available in Diamond Path and prices can range from the low $200,000s to upwards of $450,000, with townhouses starting on the lower end. Single-family homes mostly feature ranch-style and split-level designs, and many don plenty of brown-vinyl siding and foundations made of brick – familiar markers of midcentury era homes. “It’s a really great residential community,” Nicole Junker, a Realtor with the Pemberton Homes Team says. “It has great schools and nice, affordable homes.” Junker adds that there hasn’t been much available inventory in the neighborhood recently. “A lot of people buy their homes and stay there. It’s a great place to raise a family.”

Diamond Path parks offer youth sports and nature
There are two parks in Diamond Path. Diamond Path Park, the neighborhood’s namesake, which is home to paved walking paths and open green spaces and Delaney Park, which is more activity focused. During the springtime, newly hatched ducklings and goslings can be seen snacking on grass or swimming in Diamond Path Park’s pond. Delaney Park also offers good nature watching, and bald eagles are regularly spotted roosting in the trees. Junker says Delaney Park is a popular recreation spot for Diamond Path residents because there are trails, playgrounds, tennis courts, baseball fields and soccer fields. “We have a really active youth sports program,” Junker says. During the winter, there’s also an ice rink so locals can get a few laps in, practice their spins or play a pick-up hockey game.
