Galaxie Commons
Townhouses are the norm in Galaxie Commons
Galaxie Commons is made-up of around 10 small subdivisions, most with their own individual homeowners associations. Here, townhouses are the norm, although there’re also some older single-family homes – dating back to the ‘70s and ‘80s – available on the outer edges of the community. The townhouses were primarily built in the early 2000s and feature elements of midcentury Craftsman designs, a combination of brick and shingle siding, one- or two-car garages and a balcony or patio off one of the rooms for an outdoor space. While at first the dense layout of Galaxie Commons might give off the feel of a giant apartment complex, the inclusion of driveways and garages, along with landscaping and small yards helps to make the subdivisions feel more homey. Houses in Galaxie Commons typically sell for between $250,000 and $375,000, and according to Junker, the market in Galaxie Commons is pretty active. She notes that there tends to be more turnover in townhouse sales than in single-family homes.Highly rated schools entice young families
