Leave the hustle and bustle behind in rural Arcadia
With a name that means harmony with nature, it should come as no surprise that Arcadia Township is popular with Michigan homebuyers who want to get away from it all. “It’s a small-town community, but it’s still close to bigger cities. It’s convenient to get to more popular places to work,” says Tonia Allis, a Realtor with MBA Real Estate Services, who has sold homes in the area. “It’s a great place to be if you’re an outdoorsman. There are plenty of lakes for fishing and areas for hunting.” Residents can work in places like nearby Flint while spending their weekends hunting, fishing or relaxing in the peace and quiet of their rural neighborhood.

Anything from country farmhouses to new construction, you can find it out here,” says Allis. Houses are often set on large lots of five to 10 acres. There are some areas where the homes are closer together, but they usually have plenty of room between neighboring homes. There are several working farms in the area as well. Three-bedroom houses can range from $200,000 to $480,000. Four- and five-bedroom houses typically cost at least $350,000 but can cost as much as $700,000 for a 10-acre property.
