Pond and park-filled Denver subdivision
Meadowglen is a community rich in outdoor recreation and academic opportunities, from bike trails and parks to schools that focus on the arts. Residents enjoy a slower pace, surrounded by natural adventure offerings, including Standley Lake to the west, Pomona Lake within the neighborhood and Two Ponds National Wildlife Refuge to the south. Parks span the community, including the Arvada Volunteer Firefighters Park. This park reminds the community of the local firefighters' vital work to keep them safe during dry seasons, as most of the area’s fire risk hovers between three and six on the Risk Factor’s 10-point scale. “Meadowglen is probably one of the best-kept secrets as far as planned unit development,” says Joann Perito, a broker with Avenues Unlimited who grew up in the neighboring community of Lake Arbor. “They have absolutely amazing homes that were really aesthetically cool when they were getting built, have some neat floor plans and a lot of them back to the Meadowglen Pond – a lake-ish area there – that people utilize not just from Meadowglen but for other communities that are in there.”

Pomona Lake living and single-family homes
Homes comprise a large majority of Meadowglen’s landscape, giving homebuyers an assortment of housing styles from which to choose and budgeting options. “The HOA there is one of the most inexpensive, and they have a clubhouse, a pool, the tennis courts, and an actively engaged community where they still do planned events,” Perito says. While townhouses list between $375,000 for a two-bedroom and $458,000 for a three-bedroom, the ranch-style and raised ranch homes list between $485,000 for a three-bedroom and $976,000 for a five-bedroom on the water. “Those Meadowglen homes that back to that pond can get more value just because of that location because of the path,” Perito says. Monthly homeowners association dues may range from $92 to $622 in the Sequoia community and go towards maintaining these lots, keeping sidewalks clear and upkeeping community amenities.

Drives down Wadsworth Boulevard to Denver
Cul-de-sacs branch inwards off the neighborhood’s main streets, resulting in much of the local traffic running along the western edge down Kipling Street, the southern stretch of 80th Avenue and the eastern edge of Wadsworth Boulevard. Since Wadsworth Boulevard is also state Route 121, residents appreciate easy access to Interstate 70 for more direct commutes into Denver, 14 miles away. Bus stops line Kipling Street and Wadsworth Boulevard, opening up travel opportunities to nearby shopping. Though Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport is less than six miles north, domestic and international air travelers who are not flying personal planes must drive 30 miles east to Denver International Airport.
