The arts program is amazing, but there aren't any programs for kids who stand out academically. There is a National Honors chapter, but information on joining is scarce and hard to access.

Pomona High School has recently turned into a 6-12th grade school. This has changed the way we run the school. It definitely has been an interesting change and an adjustment to our everyday schedule. Overall, Pomona High School is a good school for all ages and they have done an amazing job transforming into a 6-12 school.

Small school. Very cliquey. Lots of times fights break out. Close to home though. Parents made me go there.

Just overall, quite a yucky school! My now adult daughter attended and while she was at lunch one day a rival gang member gained entrance to the lunchroom and beat up someone. Then I wouldn't even consider having my youngest daughter attend there at all, but Pomona erroneously charged her/us some $5...

Pomona High School’s administration is failing students and families on every level. Leadership is disorganized, unresponsive, and far more focused on protecting appearances than on supporting student success or well-being. This is an unfit and unsafe environment for middle and high school students....

The current principal lacks experience in the most basic nuances of modern high school education. His middle school background is evident, as he's prone to gossip, pedantry, and forcing the staff to play along with embarrassing "shout outs" during staff meetings to his favorite (compliant) cohorts....
