Neighborhood in Ashland, Oregon

Three housing options offered for residents
Residents in Mountain Meadows can live in one of three housing options: condominiums, multifamily property units or single-family homes. The community’s two condominium buildings, called Pavilion and Parkside, offer one- to three-bedroom floor plans and are connected to the Mountain Meadows Clubhouse. Multifamily properties consist of duplexes or fourplexes, which are often called “over/unders” because of their stacked appearance and how the construction conforms to the neighborhood’s hilly streets. The single-family homes are two- or three-bedroom residences with garages. All of the residential properties in Mountain Meadows share similar Craftsman-style architecture with features like front-facing gables, covered front porches and colorful exterior accents. Most single-family properties cost between $500,000 and $600,000, while multifamily property units range from around $300,000 to $450,000, and condominiums typically sell between $200,000 and $450,000. Homeowner’s association fees hover around $800 monthly for single occupants and $1,000 for double occupants. Tall oak trees and hedge species line the community’s residential streets, and many homeowners can view the surrounding Rogue Valley countryside from their properties.Fitness classes at the Mountain Meadows Clubhouse
Mountain Meadows has an on-site four-acre park where residents walk along paved pathways shaded by trees, and gardening enthusiasts tend to their plants at the Kitchen Creek Community Garden. Homeowners also have access to the community’s Clubhouse, which houses the resident-run Mountain Meadows Library, a fitness center that offers exercise classes and a game room where people can play pool and join table tennis tournaments. Vaughan says that just down the hill from the neighborhood is North Mountain Park, a sprawling outdoor space with a nature center and wildlife habitat area. “North Mountain Park is really pretty – you can find soccer and baseball fields there, as well as a nature playground,” Vaughan says. “There’s also a creek that borders through the park called Bear Creek; my partner and I like to go and pick blackberries along there.”World-renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival
Residents can find a multitude of wineries and vineyards tucked into the foothills located directly east of the neighborhood. Grizzly Peak Winery, Eliana Wines and Belle Fiore Winery all offer wine tastings, reservable event venues and unobstructed views of the surrounding countryside. Downtown Ashland is home to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, a world-renowned repertory theatre that performs shows between late spring and early winter. Vaughan adds that right next door is a vintage movie theatre called the Varsity, which sells tickets for screenings at a reduced price.Proximity to the Pacific Highway
Interstate 5, also known as the Pacific Highway, runs adjacent to Mountain Meadows along the community’s northeastern border. Residents living in the Skylark Senior Living facility and the community’s condominiums are closest to the interstate and may experience elevated noise levels, while the rest of the neighborhood only experiences low to moderate noise levels. Most residents use their cars for everyday transportation, but taxis, shuttles and rideshare services are readily available in this area. The Rogue Valley International Medford Airport is a 16-mile drive away and offers direct flights to more than a dozen cities across the western United States, as well as a handful of international flights to Canada and Mexico. Two miles outside the neighborhood is the Asante Ashland Community Hospital, which features 24-hour emergency services, lab work, imaging and a surgery center.Meadowlark Dining Room features fixed-price menu options
On the second floor of Meadow Mountains’ Clubhouse is the Meadowlark Dining Room, a popular gathering place for residents and often referred to as the heart of the community. The dining room has always-available menus for fixed-price lunches and dinners and a salad bar. Part of residents’ monthly HOA fees covers dining dues and meal allowances at the Meadowlark, which is also a tip-free restaurant, so diners never need to worry about forgetting their wallets. Across the street from Mountain Meadows is Carlito’s Italian Cuisine, which opened in 2023 in the Meadowbrook Square development. Carlito’s serves classic Italian pasta, lasagna and pizza dishes, many of which use the restaurant’s homemade sauces. For grocery shopping, boutique stores and additional dining options, residents are only a 1.5-mile drive away from the commercial hub of downtown Ashland.
