Established Southwest Atlanta community
Adams Park is an amenity-filled neighborhood with a community center and outdoor swimming pool. "Atlanta's west side has developed over the last 10 years. The east side is generally higher-priced and more established, but the west side is now seen as the cool part of town," says Sherry Bailey, Realtor with Coldwell Banker Atlanta. She is a lifetime city resident who has been selling homes for 13 years. "Home prices here are on the lower end for Atlanta." The Adams Park Residents Association (APRA) has been around since the 1970s. The neighborhood is about 8 miles from downtown Atlanta and Spelman and Morehouse College. Neighboring communities like Cascade Heights offer a variety of locally owned businesses.

Easy interstate access and 8 miles from downtown
The neighborhood is about 8 miles from downtown, with easy access to Interstate 285, which connects to Interstates 85 and 75. Public transportation is available through the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA), with bus stops on Central Villa Drive and Honeysuckle Lane. "Most people drive, but many also use the Beltline. If MARTA covered more areas, it would be better — it mainly goes east-west," Bailey says.
