Why people move to West Paces
West Paces sits at the heart of Buckhead’s Golden Triangle, an area known for upscale living. Mid-20th-century homes on spacious, wooded lots give kids plenty of room to play, and several highly rated public and private schools are also in the neighborhood. Locals appreciate being near some of Atlanta's biggest parks and a shopping center with everything from casual diners to sophisticated bars. This prime location, paired with its quiet, suburban feel, makes West Paces a top choice for families.

House prices and styles
The median sale price in West Paces is around $925,000, more than double Atlanta's median of about $425,000. However, it’s slightly lower than other Buckhead neighborhoods like Paces because many homes were built between the 1950s and ‘70s. “A lot of Buckhead has historic, century-old mansions or huge new builds,” says Mary Stuart Iverson, a Realtor with Home Luxury Real Estate who has sold several houses in the neighborhood. “West Paces is still very upscale and well-maintained, but considering the area, its houses aren’t as grand, and they may need some updated appliances here and there.” Buyers will find a mix of ranch-style homes, Cape Cod cottages and contemporary houses along West Paces’ winding roads. Homes without significant renovations typically fall between the lower $700,000s and the lower $800,000s, while updated homes and the occasional new build usually range from the mid-$900,000s to the upper $2 million range.
You may find mid-20th-century homes in the neighborhood.
There are a few newer builds in the area.

Public and private schools
West Paces is zoned for highly rated Atlanta Public Schools, like Warren T. Jackson Elementary School and North Atlanta High School. Private schools serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade include:
Pace Academy, which sits on a 34-acre campus with sports facilities, gardens and a castle-style main building dating back to 1931
The Lovett School, where upper-level students can travel to a laboratory in Ecuador to study botany, zoology and entomology
Westminster Schools, known for its athletics program that has won over 300 state championship titles since opening in 1951
Morris Brandon Elementary School is part of the Atlanta Public Schools system.
The highly rated North Atlanta High School serves the community.

Getting to Midtown Atlanta and Downtown Atlanta
West Paces sits just east of Interstate 75, which is a direct route to Midtown Atlanta and Downtown Atlanta. Driving to either place usually takes 15 to 30 minutes, depending on traffic. “Between kids getting dropped off at all the schools in the area, and commuters getting on the highway, congestion is a pretty consistent problem here,” Iverson says.
West Paces has easy access to several other parts of Atlanta.
The rest of the city is just a quick drive away.

Where to shop and go out to eat
Paces Ferry Plaza has major grocery stores, a vintage barber shop and a handful of locally owned boutiques. Restaurants include Ok Café, a retro-style diner serving meatloaf and milkshakes, and Blue Ridge Grill, a cabin-inspired spot known for its southern food and extensive wine list. “You take your family to the café, and your business meetings to the grill,” Iverson says. “That sums up how great the area’s restaurant selection is.” Buckhead’s high-end shopping centers, such as Phipps Plaza and Lennox Square, are also less than 5 miles away.
One popular spot in West Paces is OK Cafe.
