We're students of SMS currently, the school isn't horrible, but the hallways smell ATROCIOUS. Students don't behave as well as they should. The food is horrible and looks as if a goblin threw up on it 45 times, and it rotted. They do celebrate different cultures, but they don't really put any effort into it. For example, they use AI for some posters for Black History Month. Classes are good, though.

Sutton middle school is a very lacking middle school. There is constant fighting, when i came in to sutton middle school as a sixth grader i was very uncomftorable. There is a reason they have 10 police officers there per day. I hated sutton and didnt get the learning experience i needed

You learn more about the real world in this school than anywhere else. I looked at a multitude of other schools for my son but this one really stuck out. It is only going up and will be the most prominent name in public schools in Atlanta soon.

Don't send your kids. Terrible experience with children coming home having learned nothing other than their teachers political views.

My child has had a great experience at Sutton. They've made new friends each year, and the students are genuinely kind. The parents are engaged, and the teachers are enthusiastic about what they teach. Faculty communicate clearly about expectations and offer support when students need help. Dr. Merr...

I have a 9th grader who spent all of her middle school years at Sutton, and we had a very positive experience with engaged teachers and parents. She made wonderful friends and enjoyed being part of the yearbook club. My 7th grade son, an athlete who had played baseball a bit half-heartedly for years...
