A little over 10 miles from downtown Augusta, Belair offers homebuyers a convenient neighborhood with everything to do in their backyard. “I would say convenience is its selling point,” says Karen Parker, a Realtor with RE/MAX Reinvented. “You can get to downtown Augusta quickly and to the suburbs on the western part of town quickly, too.” With quick access to downtown Augusta and the suburbs west of the area, Belair is a middle ground for homebuyers considering putting down roots in the area.

Golf, soccer and trampoline fun all close to home

To many, Augusta means golf, and though Augusta National, home of the Masters every April, is less than 10 miles away, there are closer places to practice swings. Wedges and Woods is a neighborhood driving range, featuring lessons, golf club repair and custom fittings. Other Saturday outings can be spent bouncing around DEFY Augusta, a trampoline park. MM Scott Park has a walking trail and features a playground with shaded benches. It also has a paved basketball court and a pair of tennis courts. For soccer fans, there’s Augusta Soccer Park. The fields are home to Augusta Arsenal Soccer Club, a youth soccer club with various programs.

Retail options include a major mall and nearby strip center

Two retail locations at the neighborhood’s eastern border include the Augusta Mall and Augusta West Plaza. The mall features familiar favorites. Augusta West Plaza is a strip mall with restaurants mixed in with big-box stores. Convenience comes into play again regarding the restaurant scene. On the south side, RNR Grill N Bar serves specially cut steaks off an open-flame grill. There is also a Top Crab location on the east end of the neighborhood and the Augusta location of the restaurant that is also in Savannah.

Quick connections via I-20 and I-520 surround the neighborhood

Two major roadways surround the neighborhood; Interstate 20 sets the northern border, while Interstate 520 is the eastern border. Interstate 20 runs east to west from Florence, S.C. to San Antonio, Texas, and Interstate 520 is an auxiliary highway that encircles most of Augusta, Ga., all the to North Augusta, S.C.
