East Augusta's quiet charm along the river

As its name suggests, East Augusta sits on the city's easternmost edge. The Savannah River borders the neighborhood, offering plenty of ways to spend time outside. Further in, ranch-style homes line streets with sidewalks, giving East Augusta more of a residential feel despite its close-in location. Residents travel outside the neighborhood for most shopping and dining, but Downtown Augusta is just a short drive away. Plus, several major thoroughfares and city bus routes run through, making the commute into the city center easy. And with home prices well below much of the city, East Augusta is significantly more affordable than what you can expect to find in the surrounding neighborhoods.
