What to expect in the local housing market

Most Centretech residents rent their homes, with around a 20% ownership rate. Condos and townhouses sit in subdivisions like Bayberry and Americana, while Last Creek and Summerhill have single-family options. The area is close knit, and people tend to know their neighbors. “It is a very friendly community where people recognize and wave to one another,” explains Kristin Handsom, who works and lives in the neighborhood. Most stand-alone homes were built in or after 2015 and feature craftsman architecture, high-end appliances and small, fenced-in back yards. “The single-family market in Centretech has always had decent price points compared to the surrounding area,” says Michael Marino, a local Realtor with Quality Living. “It’s a pretty inexpensive part of Aurora in that regard.” Single-family builds start in the mid $400,000s and reach the upper $600,000s, while multi-family units range from the mid $100,000s to the low $300,000s.
