Cedarcroft is a forested suburban village in north Baltimore, known for its scenic canopy of mature sycamore trees that arch over residential streets. The neighborhood is characterized by charming single-family homes, many built in the early 1900s. Several shopping areas line York Road, which forms the neighborhood's eastern boundary. There are also several parks just minutes away from locals, as well as institutions like Towson University to the north and Loyola University Maryland to the south.

Prices here range from the lower $500,000s to the lower $700,000s, depending on the property's square footage, age, and condition. “People like Cedarcroft because of the tree-lined streets, the large homes with unique architecture, and the value you get compared to more expensive neighborhoods that have the same feel, like Homeland and Roland Park, which are usually more expensive,” says Christopher Stumbroski, a longtime native of Baltimore County and Realtor with eXp Realty, LLC.

The nearby Chinquapin Run Park spans 76 acres and offers a hiking trail beside a creek. The park also features athletic fields, basketball courts and a playground. Lake Roland Park is 3 miles away, with over 500 acres of woodlands and wetlands, along with an interactive nature center. Residents can also cast lines at the lake and catch largemouth bass and bluegill. For a night on the town, be sure to check out the historic Senator Theatre. Built in 1939, this Art Deco building is a community favorite and screens cult classics, old favorites and new releases.

York Road Plaza is the nearest shopping center, roughly half a mile away. Residents can stop by Giant to get groceries or grab food at one of several fast-casual dining spots like Hibachi Express Japanese Grill. “The location is very good. It's just south of the county seat of Towson, very easily accessible to major highways and shopping and dining options in the county,” says Stumbroski. “It’s also close to Belvedere Square Market and other options around north Baltimore.”
Belvedere Square Market, less than a mile south on York Road, is a popular market that offers a variety of diverse restaurants and boutiques to browse. Pull up a seat at Atwater’s bar and enjoy coffee, soup, or a gourmet sandwich on house-baked bread, or pick up smoked meats and cheese pies from Neopol’s. Belvedere Square Market also hosts the Summer Sounds concert series, where visitors can enjoy live music from May to September. Towson Town Center is another shopping mall just 3 miles north in Baltimore County, home to major department stores like Macy’s and Nordstrom Rack.
