Bedford is part of the "Mid-Cities" area of the DFW Metroplex, sitting directly between Dallas and Fort Worth and north of Arlington. The residential city has about 50,000 residents and continues to grow partly because of its location. "It's a quaint bedroom community. It's 2 to 3 minutes from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. It's very centrally located," says Tanya Lang, a Team Lead at REAL Brokers who has sold several homes in Bedford. Lang adds that residents of Bedford tend to stay a while, making the city their long-term home. The Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District also attracts homebuyers to the area, which is recognized as one of the highest-rated districts in the DFW Metroplex.
