Waterfront recreation like Gulf of America and Bayside Park beach
Not only is the neighborhood bordered by the Intracoastal Waterway, but it is also only minutes from the Gulf of America via the Belleair Causeway, where a convenient boat launch is located. “You have very easy access to the Intracoastal and the Gulf, and depending on what you prefer, you can enjoy leisurely boating, or you can take your fishing boat out,” says Oyler. The causeway’s Belleair Bridge leads directly to the town of Belleair Beach. Attractions there include Bayside Park, which features a small beach on the Intracoastal side, a playground and nearby tennis courts. There is public beach access on the Gulf side. Nearby, Hallett Park is a waterfront green space in neighboring Belleair and the Fred Marquis Pinellas Trail is a popular paved bike path just east of the neighborhood.
