Urban suburban community next to the Birmingham International Airport
Inglenook is a suburban neighborhood bounded to the north by the city of Tarrant and separated from Harriman Park by Pinson Valley Parkway. This no-frills enclave appeals to those who want to live close to the city without the steep prices. Former Inglenook Neighborhood Association President and long-time resident Carolyn Cauthen says “When you live here, you’re pretty much close to everything.” “Just takes a few minutes to get downtown, and they have great restaurants, shopping, museums—everything you could want is nearby.”

The Inglenook Branch of the Birmingham Public Library has become an integral part of the community since undergoing extensive renovations in 2015.
