At nearby Bradford Park, visitors have 165 acres to explore, which include playgrounds, tennis courts, picnic pavilions and a walking path.

“Those who live in Spring Lake have quick access to all the retail and restaurants in nearby Trussville,” Helzer says. Shopping centers line Gadsden Highway about 4 miles away. Promenade at Tutwiler Farm has big-box stores like Target and Home Depot. Meat Depot by Fresh Value is the closest grocery store on Huffman Road, but there’s also a Walmart Supercenter and an Aldi 3 miles away. America’s Thrift Stores & Donation Center, an expansive second-hand store ideal for treasure hunting, is next to Meat Depot.
