History and location come together
Northwest is one of Bloomington’s oldest neighborhoods. The neighborhood is less than a quarter mile from the McLean County Courthouse in Downtown Bloomington, which was built in 1868, and most of its homes were built in the early 1900s. “It’s where the town originally started,” says Caroline Bird, Realtor with Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group. “The town’s original structures are close to that area.” Just north of Downtown Bloomington and west of Illinois Wesleyan University, Northwest is a historic neighborhood within walking distance of Bloomington’s major attractions.
