Artificial lakes offering plenty to do
Old Farm Lakes is a suburban neighborhood that gives its residents ample lakeside space to roam. The lakes, originally ponds designed to catch run-off during the construction of the neighborhood, are regularly restocked with fish by the Old Farm Lakes Property Owners Association. Local families can appreciate the outdoor recreation, but there's more. “It’s a great neighborhood,” says Liliana Taimoorazi, Bloomington Realtor with Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group. “It’s a family neighborhood with lakes and walking paths around the lakes. It’s near good schools and close to a lot of businesses.”

Little noise from the airport
Though the airport is close to the neighborhood, Taimoorazi says the neighborhood doesn’t experience too much noise from planes. “They don’t fly big planes in and out of there,” she says. Additionally, the airport was renovated in the 1980s, redirecting flights to take off and land primarily on paths that travel over cornfields and not the area’s neighborhoods.
