Michael RogersMichael and his wife started vacationing on Sunset Beach in the late 1970's. For many years, they vacationed in this corner of paradise and dreamed of someday retiring in this area. Over the years they have owned rental property on the island and in 2015 they moved here permanently. That dream became a reality for them, and it can for you as well. This area truly is a wonderful place to not only vacation but to live permanently. The winters are mild and the warm ocean breezes make our summers so enjoyable.
Michael grew up in a small town about 40 minutes west of Charlotte in a family with ties to real estate. His father was a successful home contractor and operated his own real estate company. Both of his sisters have also been involved in real estate. Music was a huge part of his life, and he chose to pursue a career in education. His college degrees are in music education from Appalachian State University and LSU, and he served as a middle and high school band director for over 23 years before moving into school administration. His wife, also an educator, and Michael chose to live in North Carolina and raise their four children in this wonderful state. His children grew up vacationing in Sunset Beach and now their grandchildren are having that same experience. They love coming to visit Nana and PawPaw at the beach!
