The Quarry
Neighborhood in Bonita Springs, Florida
Lee County 34120
Condos and single-family homes with golf or water views
The neighborhood offers a collection of Spanish and Mediterranean-style New Traditional single-family homes and condos. Condo units typically sell for between about $530,000 and $960,000, while single-family homes start at close to $830,000 and can top out at more than $3 million. Properties on the water or the golf course usually sell for more than those without waterfront or fairway views.Private amenities in The Quarry offer indoor and outdoor recreation
The community is home to an HOA-funded private beach club with over 500 acres of lakes, a clubhouse with restaurants, and various sports and fitness facilities. The Quarry’s golf club requires a separate membership for the 18-hole Hurdzan-Fry-designed course. “There’s water on every hole, it’s a beautiful course,” Poppie says.Given Florida’s mild winters, the community’s outdoor amenities enjoy use year-round. In fact, the months between September and April are sometimes the busiest. “We have a lot of snowbirds who come down for six to eight months to escape the northern winters,” Poppie says. Gulf-front beaches in Bonita Springs are less than 20 miles away. The Quarry’s inland location lessens the risk of flooding despite the private lakes.
Highly rated Collier County Public Schools
Corkscrew Elementary, Oakridge Middle and Gulf Coast High, part of the Collier County Public Schools district, earn A grades from Niche. According to the rating site, Gulf Coast High is the No. 1 best public high school in the county. The high school offers a variety of clubs and extracurriculars, as well as application-based medical, engineering and sports/entertainment specialty programs.Immokalee Road runs west to Interstate 75
Collier Area Transit, or CAT, bus stops line Immokalee Road, which runs along The Quarry’s south end. The main road connects west to Interstate 75 and U.S. Route 41. Estero, Bonita Springs and Naples are all within about 20 miles of the neighborhood. The closest commercial airport is Southwest Florida International in Fort Myers, slightly less than 30 miles north. It’s about a 45-minute drive via I-75 with no traffic. The Quarry’s CAP Index crime score is 1 out of 10, lower than the national average of 4.Shopping and dining on Immokalee Road and in Naples
Immokalee Road features shopping options like Publix and Aldi. Chain restaurants like Outback, Starbucks and Culver’s are scattered along the commercial corridor, too, along with local eateries like Havana Libre Cuban Cuisine and Scoreboard Social, a classic American sports bar and grill. “You’re also a short drive to Fifth Avenue in downtown Naples, which is a premier shopping and dining district, and Waterside Shops,” Poppie says, referring to the upscale indoor mall north of downtown. The two destinations are within 20 miles of The Quarry.
