Developed in the late 1980s, Enfield Chase is a small suburban neighborhood in Bowie that's located a few miles from decades-old local establishments and Bowie Town Center, the city’s premier retail plaza. It’s also appealing for its commuter access to Baltimore, Annapolis or Washington, D.C., by train or car within an hour.
Enfield Chase is entirely residential, but is extremely close to Bowie Town Center, and is a half an hour commute to Washington DC and Baltimore.
Bowie Town Center is a shoppers paradise, with several blocks lined with everything from clothing shops to fitness boutiques.

Locals browse Bowie Town Center and dine at Rip's Country Inn
Just a mile north of home is Bowie Town Center, built in the early 2000s. The city’s most popular shopping destination, it features 79 retailers, including Macy’s. “It’s close to lots of community hangouts like Rip’s restaurant, which has been around for a long time,” says Bill Franklin, a former Bowie local who's team leader at Bill Franklin Real Estate Group with Long & Foster Real Estate. A couple of miles east of Enfield Chase, Rip’s Country Inn — one part deli, one part restaurant, one part bar and one part motel — has been serving the Bowie community since 1952. Locals can stop by and grab a chicken salad sandwich from the deli, browse a selection of global wines and spirits, or enjoy brunch in the dining area.
Bowie’s Rip’s restaurant has a rustic charm with intimate wood lined booths and is just a few minute drive from Enfield Chase.
Macy's has a large store in Bowie Town Center, not far from Enfield Chase.

Nearby Prince George's County schools
Prince George’s County Public Schools is the main district serving Enfield Chase. Residents can send their children to Northview Elementary, with a C rating from Niche, as well as Benjamin Tasker Middle and Bowie High, which both get B-minus ratings. Benjamin Tasker Middle has a Talented and Gifted Center where eligible students can pursue an accelerated curriculum in areas of interest.
Benjamin Tasker Middle School serves Enfield Chase residents kids aged grade 6-8.

Baltimore is a 30-mile drive north along Crain Highway, usually a 45-minute trip. As far as Metro access goes, Franklin says that “folks usually go to Landover Metro Station, but since it’s a little far, there are bus parks in the city that take you directly to those areas.” Metrobuses stop along Northview Drive for locals seeking wider city access or a connection to nearby Metro stations. Six miles north of the neighborhood is Bowie State University Train Station, where residents can catch Amtrak or regional MARC trains. Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport is 29 miles north of Enfield Chase and offers domestic and international flights.
