Chapel Hill

Wide range of prices
There’s a home option for almost every budget. “One-bedroom condos in the neighborhood, for example, with amenities like a pool, fitness center, and a clubhouse, start at around $200,000,” says James Arena, a Realtor, owner, and broker with Arena and Company Real Estate. He grew up in the Chapel Hill neighborhood. “Contrast that with estate homes on large lots, on the water, that sell in the millions.” In between are townhouses that begin at $400,000 and single-family homes that start at $500,000. “What matters is the lot size and proximity of the Intracoastal Waterway,” Arena says. “The larger and closer to the water, the more high-end and high-cost the homes become.” Another attraction for living in Chapel Hill is the absence of homeowners association fees. A few condos and townhouses with a water view have fees between $600 and $800 monthly.Top-rated hospital in the neighborhood
The Baptist Health Bethesda Hospital East is in the heart of Chapel Hill. It offers comprehensive services, including a nationally recognized joint replacement program, cardiovascular and cancer care and women’s and children’s services. Grocery items are close with a Walmart Supercenter on Federal Highway or a Publix in the shopping center at the corner of Federal Highway and Woolbright Road. Just a bit south of Publix, on Federal Highway, is Driftwood, an upscale eatery where the food is locally sourced and the cocktails handcrafted. It’s a very popular restaurant, and reservations are recommended to guarantee a seat without waiting.
Green instead of water
While the beach is close, some may opt for recreation on land, including the parks in Chapel Hill. Parks like Forest Hills and Betty Thomas are dog-friendly and have lots of activities for kids, including swing sets and jungle gyms. There are also picnic areas and basketball courts. Jaycee Park is another that sits alongside the Intracoastal Waterway. The green space in the middle of this facility was recently transformed into a dog park, with sections for large and small canines. The most significant green space in Chapel Hill is the Seacrest Scrub Natural Area, a 54-acre wilderness home to the protected gopher tortoise and part of the Great Florida Bird and Wildlife Trail.Public school dress codes
Those kids living in Chapel Hill can choose to attend Palm Beach County Public Schools, including Forest Park Elementary. The school gets a C-plus grade on Niche and has a dress code for its students, as all schools in the district do. That includes collared shirts, solid khaki, black or navy pants, and no open-toed shoes. Congress Community Middle School gets a C rating, and Boynton Beach Community High School has a 20-to-1 student-teacher ratio and a C-plus Niche grade. One of the northernmost Tri-Rail stops
Commuters to downtown Miami can catch the Tri-Rail commuter train from the Boynton Beach station about 5 miles north. The train also goes to the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood and Miami International Airports. The Metrorail Transfer station stop allows commuters to switch trains to downtown Miami. Several bus stops are in Chapel Hill, including many along Seacrest Boulevard by the hospital.
