Bozeman Ponds is a subdivision on the west side of the city and is close to some of Bozeman's newest parks and trails, which is popular among people and canines. New parks for people and their dogs
Bozeman Ponds Park, with its fishing pond, multipurpose fields and picnic shelter, is just one of the many greenspaces on the west side of the city. It is also home to Canine Beach, where the dog-friendly, sandy shore is usually full of dogs splashing around in the water. Further north, dog owners can take their pups to Lewis and Bark Dog Park and explore a whole new frontier of fetch and play. Asheim Fields is where little leaguers and recreational teams play baseball. West Bozeman’s largest park is the 87-acre Gallatin County Regional Park, about a mile and a half away. It’s got two large ponds, trails and fields. Bozeman Pond Trail not only runs through the neighborhood but it connects to other trails and parks throughout the city of Bozeman.

East of Bozeman Ponds is the Gallatin Valley Mall, which has retail shops like Macy’s, GameStop and Jensen Jewelers. There is also a Whole Foods Market in the same shopping center. West of the neighborhood are Sidewinders Grill and Tanglewood Grill & Tap, which serve burgers and beers, and are some of the most popular restaurants in West Bozeman. Downtown Bozeman is about three miles away and the go-to area for a night out. Bars like 1864 and Blackbird are great for date nights or drinks with friends, and Blackbird offers Italian food.

Walking distance parks from quiet residential streets
The neighborhood has a mix of new traditional and ranch-style homes and most were built in the 1990s. Houses tend to sell for $550,000 to $750,000. “West Bozeman is the suburbs of the city,” says Martello. The neighborhood’s homes tend to have manicured lawns with basketball hoops in the driveway and sidewalks on both sides of the street. The area also has condos for sale, typically for $350,000 to $500,000. The neighborhood doesn’t have much through traffic, and Bozeman Pond Park is within half a mile of most homes of the neighborhood, about a 10-minute walk.

Bozeman schools and sports
Hyalite Elementary School has a B-plus rating from Niche, and Chief Joseph Middle School has an A-minus rating. Gallatin High School has a B-plus rating and active basketball, football and track teams. “Athletics are big for the community in Bozeman,” says Martello. “It brings the community together.”
