Newer homes in West Bozeman foster a growing suburban community
West Bozeman sits less than 4 miles from downtown Bozeman and is comprised of 21st- century subdivisions with custom homes. “It’s a nice neighborhood with parks, and everything is walkable,” says Pam McCutcheon, a real estate broker and owner of Small Dog Realty, who has over 25 years of experience and has lived in Bozeman for almost 40 years. “It’s a safe community and very friendly. Like in every other community, things are changing with the growth. They’re building apartments, and we have terrific stores coming where they revamped the mall.”

Subdivisions with 21st century homes
Most homes in West Bozeman are newer builds found along sidewalk-lined streets dotted with decorative trees. Properties are accompanied by small grassy lawns and the occasional privacy fence. Contemporary single-story homes built in the 2000s to 2010s are common. Most have Craftsman features like pointed roofs, front gables and a front porch, though some properties have a more traditional design. There are also multistory New Traditional homes and bi levels in the neighborhood, built from the 2010s to 2020s. Prices range from $575,000 to $950,000. “We’ve got a ton of inventory. It’s a great time to buy because there’s so much on the market,” McCutcheon says. A handful of manufactured home communities are located along Gallahad Way and Redwood Drive.
Multifamily properties are another option, closer to Huffine Lane. Contemporary condominiums built in the 2010s have units available for $350,000 to $550,000. There are also a few apartment complexes in the area. Roughly 40% of residents in the neighborhood are renters.
