Garin Ranch, located in Brentwood — one of the fastest growing cities in California — is one of the newest master-planned communities in the area. Garin Ranch features parks, trails, retail spaces and a neighborhood school.
Brentwood was formerly miles and miles of farms and orchards, but the city has become increasingly residential due to urban sprawl. Flanked by tall trees and sidewalks, Garin Parkway is the main thoroughfare, with all residential streets offshooting from it. The residential streets look fairly similar, sidewalks line lush, manicured lawns leading to two-car garages. Housing styles primarily feature stucco Spanish Revivals and Misson Revivals. While the architecture is the same from house to house, the facades vary in color, including shades of browns, yellows, creams and grays. Home prices range from $615,000 to $934,000.
The Brentwood Union School District and the Liberty Union High School District serve the neighborhood. The Brentwood Union School District runs on a modified traditional academic calendar. While not a year-round district, each school year begins at the end of July and runs through the beginning of June, with three two-week breaks worked into the calendar. Garin Ranch children can attend Garin Elementary School, which has an overall B-plus rating from Niche, before attending Edna Hill Middle School, which has an overall A-minus rating from Niche. For high school, neighborhood students can attend Liberty High School, part of the Liberty Union High School District. Niche recognizes Liberty High School with an overall A-minus rating and reports the school's student-teacher ratio is 22 to 1. The high school has a few academies, including art and design, health and teaching.
Residents can get their daily steps in or play soccer together at Garin Park. Covering 6.35 acres, Garin Park has two non-lighted soccer fields, a playground area and picnic tables. Brentwood has over 70 community parks and miles of jogging trails, earning the city a Playful City USA recognition by KaBOOM! for several years in a row. If residents are fans of the visual and performing arts, they can find plenty of it in the city. The Brentwood Art Society sponsors the Art, Wine and Jazz Festival, the Artists Open Studio Tour, open mic nights and other gatherings. For a night of Broadway, residents can see a show at the Brentwood Theater Company.
Every Saturday, residents can purchase fresh fruit, vegetables, baked goods, flowers, eggs and more at the Brentwood Farmers Market. The market is year-round on First Street. For more pantry staples and other household necessities, residents can find everything at the FoodMaxx grocery store, less than 2 miles from the community. Around Garin Ranch and near the grocery store, you can find a mix of local restaurants and fast food chains. On First Street, less than a mile away, there are plenty of local places to grab a bite, like MJ's Downtown Cafe, Zephyr Grill & Bar and Sticky Chicken & Ribs.
Garin Ranch is located in the East Bay region of the San Francisco Bay Area. The community is roughly 50 miles from the Bay Area and 55 miles from San Francisco. Public transportation is limited in the area, so many residents opt to drive for quick errands and longer commutes.
