Regional trails and sports complexes in northern Brentwood
Prewett Ranch has numerous green spaces, the largest of which is the Sunset Park Athletic Complex. Spanning 38 acres, the sports park has six lighted baseball fields and four lighted soccer fields of varying sizes. Several concession stands and barbecue areas are scattered throughout. Arbor View Park is bordered by lush foliage and a walking trail. The park has a plant legend so visitors can identify the nearly two dozen tree species represented. Kids have a large playground to explore, with activities, climbing areas and slides. Another popular destination for children is Dolphin Park, with its large splash pad and playground. The Marsh Creek Regional Trail passes through Prewett Ranch on its way to East Cypress Road in Oakley or Concord Avenue in Brentwood. The paved multi-use trail is a 15-mile round trip through scenic farmland. The Mokelumne Coast to Crest Trail stretches over 10 miles and connects the Prewett Ranch community to the adjacent city of Antioch. The paved pathway includes a pedestrian overpass to protect cyclists and walkers from traffic.Brentwood breweries, restaurants and shopping centers
Prewett Ranch is home to Four Legs Brewing. Its dog-friendly tasting room has portraits of pups and plenty of pints. Scotties Shutters Brasserie uses local organic ingredients for its take on French-fusion dishes, like the Popette panini and crispy duck confit. Slatten Ranch Shopping Center, Empire Shopping Center and Brentwood Junction Shopping Mall sit in a line just outside the neighborhood. Located on Lone Tree Way, the centers have retailers like Target, Sephora and Five Below, grocery stores like WinCo Foods and a wide variety of quick-service and fast-casual restaurants.Nearby schools with an eye on the future

A-minus-rated Liberty High School is part of the Liberty Union High School District. The neighborhood is divided into halves by Brentwood Boulevard. On the western side, contemporary and custom-built houses from the early 2000s rest on oversized lots. Slightly curving streets end in tidy cul-de-sacs, often with room for RV parking. “Prewett Ranch is mostly made up of newer, larger homes that are part of a master-planned community. Although you can still find a few ranchers with some acreage around,” Dobrinich says. Homes on the neighborhood’s unincorporated eastern side are often zoned for agricultural purposes. This lets homeowners have farm equipment, livestock and horses. Homes sell for a median price of $900,000 after about a month. Prices start around $500,000 for contemporary residences and continue to $1.5 million for custom-built houses. The Brentwood Muslim Community Center
Founded in 2010, the Brentwood Muslim Community Center supports the community through summer camps, Islamic education classes and the Brentwood Pantry, which provides non-perishable items and zabiha meat for the food insecure.City streets, bike lanes and US Highway 4
Whether people live in the neighborhood’s developed western side or the semi-rural eastern half, traveling to Brentwood or the San Francisco Peninsula is accessible and convenient. Roadways like Sellers Avenue, Lone Tree Way and Brentwood Boulevard lead to surrounding areas such as Knightsen and the city of Oakley. Bus stops and bike lanes are found on major streets like Sunset Road and O’Hara Avenue, while sidewalks are abundant in the neighborhood’s western portion. Railroad tracks border the western side of the community, and people living on Mariana Way can hear the train whistle. US Route 4 is less than 3 miles away and takes people 8 miles to Antioch or 30 miles to Stockton. Prewett Ranch is 6.5 miles from Kaiser Hospital, 41 miles from the Stockton Metropolitan Airport and 53 miles from downtown San Francisco.
