Prewett Ranch has numerous green spaces, the largest of which is the Sunset Park Athletic Complex. The Mokelumne Coast to Crest Trail stretches over 10 miles and connects the Prewett Ranch community to the adjacent city of Antioch. The neighborhood is divided into halves by Brentwood Boulevard. On the western side, contemporary and custom-built houses from the early 2000s rest on oversized lots. Slightly curving streets end in tidy cul-de-sacs, often with room for RV parking. “Prewett Ranch is mostly made up of newer, larger homes that are part of a master-planned community. Although you can still find a few ranchers with some acreage around,” Dobrinich says. Homes on the neighborhood’s unincorporated eastern side are often zoned for agricultural purposes. This lets homeowners have farm equipment, livestock and horses. Homes sell for a median price of $900,000 after about a month. Prices start around $500,000 for contemporary residences and continue to $1.5 million for custom-built houses.
