Palestinian-American hub with popular events in the Chicago suburbs
Bridgeview shares its suburban environment with many of its surrounding communities in the southwestern Chicago area. But a distinctive cultural identity, vibrant local events and acclaimed education options help set life in this village apart. On the south side of Bridgeview, the Little Palestine neighborhood is home to one of the largest Palestinian American communities in both Chicagoland and the country. “It’s got a huge Muslim population with a large mosque," says Jason Nash, a broker with @properties Christie’s Real Estate who was raised in the area. "For families of the religion, it’s a huge draw.”

Single-family homes southwest of Chicago
Bridgeview’s home market is generally split between single-family properties and smaller options like townhomes, duplexes and condos. Split-level, Cape Cod and ranch-style homes are plentiful, and most of them were built between the 1940s and 1980s. A small selection of manufactured homes round out the area’s options. The village’s median home value is much lower than the national median and similar to neighboring communities like Chicago Ridge, Worth, Hickory Hills and Burbank. Some areas on the south side of the village near Interstate 294 may experience higher noise levels.
