Rush Creek Regional Trail is an almost 10-mile walking and biking trail stretching from Elm Creek Park Reserve to Mississippi Gateway Regional Park. “It’s a paved trail so it goes through the woods, and it has off-site stuff so you can do off-trail biking and cross-country skiing,” says Jeffrey Gagnon, a real estate agent with J.C. Gagnon Realty and a decadeslong resident of Brooklyn Park. “They keep them plowed over the winter.” A few blocks from the neighborhood, Mississippi Gateway Regional Park offers additional hiking and biking along the river, plus plenty of space to fish and observe the wildlife.
