"You're going to see a lot of those three-bed, one-bath ramblers out there," says Eric Redlinger, an agent with Coldwell Banker Burnet-Fridley. "Anything else is an outlier." Prices for these houses range from the mid-$200,000s to the low $400,000s, depending on renovation and amenities. Two-story townhouses are also popular and typically sell for somewhere in the low to mid-$200,000s.

"It's an easy jump onto Route 169 – a good route for daily commuters," says Yarbro, who's worked the area for 12 years. "You don't have the congestion, and you can get downtown fast." Minneapolis is 13 miles southeast, while St. Paul is 25 miles southeast. Buses through the Metro Transit system are available and have stops along Boone and Winnetka Avenues.

Osseo Senior High has a groundbreaking automotive program
Students generally begin at Oak View Elementary School, which has a B-minus from Niche, before heading to Maple Grove Middle School, which has a B-plus. B-ranking Osseo Senior High School is next. In 2014, Osseo Senior High became the first school in the country to receive Maintenance and Light Repair certification for its educational automotive program. The Ann Bremer Education Center on Sunny Lane's west side supports and teaches skills to high schoolers with special needs. It has not yet received a rating from Niche.
