Amidst the panoramic beauty of the Rocky Mountains emerges Columbine Meadows, a neighborhood where the Colorado spirit shines brightly. Located in Broomfield, Colorado, named as one of the best cities to live in, a balance of serene residential living and communal ambiance fills the air. “Broomfield is a big area, but it has that quiet, small town feel where it just doesn’t feel like another suburb,” says John Grandt, Broker Associate with Compass Real Estate.

Walking through the neighborhood, you may notice an array of older Split-Level and traditional-style homes. Tidy front yards and scattered gardens reflect the pride and care of its residents. Prospective homebuyers can expect median prices for a single-family house to be around $528,000, with an average living space of around 1,500 square feet. These homes go fast, selling after 10 days on the market compared to the national average.

Neighborhood kids attend Mountain View Elementary, which received a B+ ranking on Niche and Westlake Middle School. Older students attend Legacy High School, with an A rating on Niche, and boasts an expansive athletics program, from the competitive cross-country team to the driven golf team.

On a beautiful afternoon, Blet and Bebe's Park, in the middle of the neighborhood, offers relaxing walking paths and a small playground for young children. Just next door is Columbine Meadows Park. Here, families can gather for sun-soaked picnics, children run around the playground, and fitness enthusiasts wind along the trails with the family dog. With soccer fields, softball fields, basketball courts and a playground, this quiet park offers various activities. The nearby Broomfield Commons Open Space, spanning over 346 acres, is the crown jewel in the area, where locals can spend a peaceful afternoon at one of the various fishing ponds.

Locals can delight in the various grocery stores and shopping options available two miles away in the Broomfield Town Center and adjoining Broomfield Plaza. Here, you can find King Scoopers grocery store and Whole Foods and Sprouts Farmer's Market, offering fresh, organic produce. Home to retail stores, local restaurants and popular chains, there is a little bit of everything, from Ted's Montana Grill, an old-Western steakhouse serving juicy burgers and bison, to Wonderland Brewery, where one can savor a sip of a delicious craft beer. “The area actually has a really big micro-brewery scene,” Grandt says. Those looking to stay closer to home can walk under one mile to North Side Tavern Restaurant, serving classic American cuisine with a twist. With menu items ranging from salads and sandwiches to delectable fresh salmon, it's an excellent spot for a family outing or a romantic date night.

Annually, residents can dive into the festive spirit through Broomfield County's various events. From the summer kickoff event hosting numerous local breweries, food and entertainment to the Great American Picnic, held on the Fourth of July, the shared sense of pride is evident in the warm greetings exchanged among neighbors. Located about 16 miles from Denver and 15 miles from Boulder, major thoroughfares make commuting around town accessible. With its prime location in the heart of Colorado's picturesque landscape, Columbine Meadows offers a beautiful blend of suburban tranquility, urban proximity, and mountainous serenity.
