Willow Run is an attractive neighborhood between Boulder and Denver
Waving neighbors and rolling grassy hills give Willow Run a nostalgic feel, and an influx of new residents give this small suburb in Broomfield a modern twist. “Willow Run is a farm-like neighborhood with a lot of great views. It feels like you’re in the country, but you’re also right outside of Boulder,” says Janet Leap, a Realtor with RE/MAX of Boulder. Locals enjoy quiet living in a convenient location centrally between Boulder and Denver.
Contemporary homes offer modern features in walkable settings
Contemporary homes with Craftsman influences are prominent among the community's residential pockets. Prices range from around $500,000 to about $650,000. Most offerings feature driveways and attached garages, and cozy yards dot walkable streets. Most sidewalks lead to the Willow Run Open Space -- a grassy field with paved trails.
Parks and trails offer appealing outdoor recreation
A local trail winds through fields, runs alongside a small creek and crosses over a 15-foot bridge, eventually leading to the Willow Run Playground. Columbine Meadows Park provides recreational spaces for baseball, basketball and soccer. Nearby Teller Farms Trail is another are destination. "It's a popular hiking trail, even though it’s mostly flat, where you’ll see lots of people walking their dogs and kids riding their bikes,” Leap says. “I wouldn’t be surprised if you see someone riding a horse, too.”
Students can attend well-rated schools
Younger students can attend Mountain View Elementary School and Westlake Middle School, both rated B-plus by Niche. Older students can attend Legacy High School, rated A-minus. The school is recognized for its college prep curriculum.
Lafayette is a nearby destination that offers shopping and dining
Willow Run Shopping Center is a convenient destination that offers a small collection of shopping and dining options. Nearby Frolic Brewing Company is a popular stop, where patrons can partner their drinks with pizza and nachos under the shade of the spacious outdoor patio. A wider variety of options is a short drive from the community. “Most residents go to Lafayette, only 15 minutes away, for grocery shopping and more dining options,” Leap says.
Convenient access to Boulder and Denver
Residents of this car-dependent community can take U.S. 36 north to Boulder and south to Denver. Both are roughly 15 miles away. Interstate 25 also provides access to Denver.
