Country Club Estates is a suburban neighborhood that offers affordable homes close to some of the most unique coastal towns in Glynn County, St. Simons Island and Jekyll Island. "You're going to get a lot more house for your money," says Zaida Clay Harris, an associate broker and managing partner at Signature Properties Group who has been selling homes in the Golden Isles since 1999. "It's affordable for folks just starting out and buying their first home." Residents in Country Club Estates also have quick access to major retailers and Brunswick bustling downtown—something that nearby island dwellers don’t get so easily.

The historic neighborhood offers locally owned restaurants, shops and regular events, like First Fridays, which takes place the first Friday of each month, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. “It’s really popular.
