“One of the best things about Villa West is that you’re practically within walking distance from Midtown Park,” Lewis says. Travis Bryan Midtown Park, an expansive complex with several recreational buildings, is one of the city’s newest recreational attractions. Travis Fields and the Legends Event Center host amateur and youth tournaments, and BigShots Golf is a welcome spot for locals to hit the range and see how far they can tee off. The Brazos Valley Bombers, a minor league baseball team, competes in the Texas Collegiate League at Edible Field, also located on park grounds. Residents can also relax along the park’s lake or walk along its paved walking trail. Hensel Park, about 2 miles from the neighborhood, has more nature trails, including one that winds through a bamboo forest.

Bryan High School has dozens of Career and Technical Education pathways
Villa West is part of the Bryan Independent School District, and many kids will start school at Crockett Elementary School. The school receives a B-minus rating from Niche and offers a student-teacher ratio of 13-to-1.
