People’s Park is another neighborhood park with lots of green space and benches, and the BA&P Hill Trail spans 4 miles from Walkerville to Rocker. Learn about mining history at World Museum of Mining
Within Montana Tech is the Mineral Museum, which is open to the public. This museum was originally a collection of 200 specimens from the Montana School of Mines students and now displays more than 1,000 specimens to teach visitors Montana’s geology and its earthquake and mining history. The World Museum of Mining is an outdoor museum in the Orphan Girl Mine yard; visitors can explore and interact with several exhibits and even tour a mine yard 100 feet underground.
