Rather than one night of fireworks, the Fourth of July in Campbellsville is a week-long celebration featuring hot air balloons, live performances, a parade and a 5K road race. From spring to fall, Graveyard Relics Car Club hosts the monthly Cruisin’ on Main car show, featuring classic cars and motorcycles alongside food trucks and offerings from local vendors. The university’s annual homecoming festivities happen each October, with current students, alumni and staff participating in an annual parade, reunions and the traditional Campbellsville Tigers football game. For year-round outings in town, bars such as Oak & Match and East First serve cocktails and craft brews with distinctive atmospheres, while The Alley is an all-ages favorite for bowling and eats.
Connected to the Bluegrass via Kentucky Route 55
Multiple routes converge in Campbellsville and connect to the rest of the Commonwealth. Kentucky Route 55 and Route 68 merge together, heading to Lexington roughly 82 miles northeast. State Highway 210 on the southwest side, known locally as Hodgenville Road, makes Louisville an 86-mile trip north. With regular traffic, both cities are within a 2-hour drive. These are also the most convenient commercial airports, with Louisville International Airport and Blue Grass Airport in Lexington providing multiple flights daily. Taylor County Airport serves private aircraft on the northeast side of town. Taylor Regional Hospital is on Old Lebanon Road near the city's north end and provides 24-hour emergency care.
