Smith’s Waco Market is a community landmark. “My parents purchased a small produce stand in 1976. We have added on twice, and now we carry a full line of groceries— sourced from Ohio as much as possible,” Adams says. “We also serve homemade cafeteria-style food like macaroni, chicken noodle soup and enchiladas.” Locals can also browse over 100 dealer booths at The Station Antiques and Uniques. Located in a red brick building on a rural roadside, The Station sells vintage items like glassware, gas and oil memorabilia and antique furniture. Adams says that for most shopping, “people usually head into Canton; it’s about 10 to 15 minutes to Belden Village Mall.” Though the neighborhood is mostly residential, the community is bordered by thoroughfares lined with restaurants and businesses. El Campero is a popular spot serving traditional Mexican food while also offering happy hour and vegetarian dishes.
