Adults can use them in the mornings and evenings, and in the afternoon, we are the Boys & Girls Club. The Canton City School District serves southwest Canton residents with Cedar Elementary School, rated a C-minus on Niche, for kindergarten through third grade. McGregor Intermediate School, which scores a B-minus, teaches students in fourth through sixth grades. Crenshaw Middle School earns a C-minus and offers art, piano and career technical courses. McKinley Senior High School scores a C; its students can enroll in seven Advanced Placement courses and participate in sports such as golf, swimming and football. Students can also choose to attend Beacon Academy or Stark High School, which are neighborhood charter schools. Every August, the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Weekend includes two parades, the NFL Hall of Fame Game, the induction ceremony, and the Concert for Legends, which has featured performances from artists including Aerosmith, Maroon 5 and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Stark Area Regional Transit Service (SARTA) bus stops are sprinkled throughout the neighborhood and provide transportation to most of Canton and its neighboring communities from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Locals can grab a burger at Flanagan's Pub, a popular neighborhood bar on Navarre Road Southwest. Baker’s Café 33, on Stark Avenue Southwest, serves steaks and over 20 varieties of pie. Downtown Canton is under 2 miles away and offers numerous shops and restaurants. StarkFresh, a non-profit grocery store, is one of them. “We grow microgreens and mushrooms here and go to Amish auctions to get locally grown food. People who get SNAP benefits get half off of produce. We carry a full range of grocery products and sell everything at break-even prices,” says Douglas Colmery, the development director for StarkFresh.
