Carmel is an amazing town. It is super safe, dog friendly, and has so many things to do outdoors. The only downside is there are always a lot of visitors. Downtown Carmel is always crowded with tourists and most weekends, there is traffic on highway one which is the main street to travel on. Besides that, the schools are amazing and there is always something to do. Most shops close around 6:00, but Carmel is a short 10 minute drive to the bustling city of Monterey and the charming city of Pacific Grove.

It's tough being a resident here and trying to raise a family is even harder. The city is not very resident or family friendly. Everything here is is done for the visitors. I'd just like to see more done for the families and residents of Carmel. The holiday traditions aren't very good the dead trees need to be replaced, pot holes fixed and so much more for the taxes the collect.

It's literally heaven. There is a reason why it's so expensive. Everyone wants to move here. It's hard to build here. It's an international real estate market.
